Haiti - Education : Launch of four Master's programs

Thursday at the Institut des Hautes Études of the State University of Haiti (Port-au-Prince), will take place the launch of four Master programs coordinated by the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) [Consejo Latinoamericano de Ciencias Sociales], with the support of UNESCO.

The Institute of Hautes Études, established on the basis of the cooperation agreement between the CLACSO and the State University of Haiti, will propose for two years, the following four programs Master : "Master in Education: Political Science and Management", "Master politics of childhood and youth", "Master in Development Economics", and "Master in thought Latin America and the Caribbean".

UNESCO has supported the development of programs for the Master's course, based on the study conducted by its sector of social sciences and humanities, which focused on the social inclusion of women in Haiti and the State University of Haiti curriculum on socially inclusive public policies, prepared for the Henri Christophe Campus of the State University of Haiti (Limonade).

This curriculum will help to create a critical mass of Haitian professionals with enhanced skills able to participate in academic development (education, research and awareness) and take an active role in the professional development of Haitian institutions and organizations in key areas of policy, whether at the macro or micro level.
