Haiti - Reconstruction : Thanks to Ecuador !

Tomorrow, Friday, at a ceremony attended by Rodolphe Joazile, the Minister of Defence of Haiti, General Oscar Troya, Assistant Secretary of Defense of Ecuador and other authorities, will be held the delivery of several infrastructure carried out and funded by Equator.

"The first mission Marhec 1 began its work the months following the earthquake of 12 January 2010, and after nearly 4 years, Marhec 4 concluded this week the tasks of reconstruction," indicated the Ecuadorian Ministry of Defense in a statement.

With investments of more than 30 million dollars, the cooperation of Ecuador materialized in the construction of two bridges, 80 km of paved with double bituminous treatment and two double sewers. Ecuador has also supported the recovery of irrigation canals, built access to 341 houses and schools, built a kindergarten, rehabilitated two schools and restored three health centers.

Moreover, during the ceremony, will be officializedthe donation to Haiti, by Ecuador of dump trucks, tractors, loaders, graders, rollers, asphalt tanks, excavators, loaders, trucks and light vehicles, according to Ecuadorian authorities.
