Thursday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism at the head of a delegation of members of the private sector of tourism and of Tourism Association of Haiti (ATH), accompanied by Mrs. Dieudonne E. Luma, its Departmental Director, conducted a visit of a few hours to Turk and Caicos Island (TCI).

The visit was intended to define the outline of a possible partnership for the development of the offer multi-destination between the two country "The objective is to position Cap-Haïtien (with its historical potential) as a excursion destination for tourists coming from Providenciales," declared Ms. Villedrouin.

At the Consulate of Haiti, the Minister held an awareness meeting among leaders (mostly religious) of the Haitian community living on the island, 30-minute flight from Cap-Haitien. In addition, the Minister met the Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Rufus Ewing.

The delegation also discussed with the Tourist Association of TCI. A collaboration could be established with the latter, in term of development of a concierge service between Cap-Haitien and TCI.
