Haiti - Tourism : Facilitate the movement of Royal Caribbean tourists

Thursday, December 19, the Board of Directors of the "Société Anonyme Mixte" "Compagnie d'Opération du Quai" met in ordinary General Assembly of the Company in Labadee. With representatives from the Government, including Wilson Laleau, Minister of Economy and Finance (Chairman of the Board) and Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, Minister of Tourism (Vice-President of the Board), discussions were held around :

  • DThe Global Development Plan of the band North (from Carrefour Gymnasium to the village of Labadee) ;

  • Of economic mode adapted to the ecosystem of the area ;

  • Of the realization of a financial plan ;

  • Of the increase of taxation for the creation of an investment fund for the development of the band North.

The objective being to facilitate the movement of Royal Caribbean tourists towards the National Historic Park (Citadelle Sans Souci Palace, Ramiers).
