Haiti - Social : 150 families benefited from the first housing of the new village Lumane Casimir

Friday, President Michel Martelly, visited the first 150 families beneficiaries of the first phase of construction of 3,000 rental housing in Morne Cabris (Croix-des-Bouquets).

The Head of State, visibly pleased with the results of this project, congratulated the officials of the UCLPB for these achievements. "The construction of housing units in the village Lumane Casimir, provides an answer to the problem of shortage of social housing to which the most vulnerable segments of the population face."

Villagers also took the opportunity to explain the problems they face. The Head of State said he took into account these claims and asked officials of the UCLPB to solve their problems as quickly as possible.

In addition, 75 police officers on 250 listed have benefited from this project. The President Martelly in the presence of Godson Orélus, the Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), and heads of UCLPB proceeded symbolically to the delivery of keys, to a group of 75 police officers, which will integrate with their families, the new village Lumane Casimir.

In addition, the Head of State reiterated the determination of his administration to improve the quality of life of PNH officers, announced that 4,400 social housing of 60 m2 will be built in favor of police officers.
