Haiti - Politic : The former British Prime Minister Tony Blair in Haiti

Following his meeting with the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe at the 44th World Economic Forum in Davos, https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10386-haiti-politic-positive-work-of-prime-minister-lamothe-in-davos.html former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, will be in Haiti this Tuesday, Feb. 25, as part of a working meeting with Prime Minister Lamothe.

It will be the occasion for Tony Blair to note the progress in Haiti, 4 years after the earthquake of 12 January 2010 and to inquire about the strategy implemented by the government team, for having relocated more than 90% of families living in IDP camps.

On the agenda of the two men, the reform of the state and the actions to be taken to accelerate the decentralization in Haiti and the issue of improving the business environment in order to identify possible solutions to attract foreign capital in the economy and facilitate the creation of sustainable jobs for the Haitian people.
