Haiti - Education : President Martelly inaugurates the School S & H in the village Ekam (Caracol)

Wednesday, President Michel Martelly, accompanied by Vanneur Pierre, Minister of National Education and Vocational Training has inaugurated in the village Ekam, Caracol (North East), "the School S & H", built jointly by the Foundation SAE-A and the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). This school hosts over 200 students from current employees of plants in Caracol Industrial Park.

The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the United States, Pamela White, Tom Adams, Special Coordinator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Sae Chul Oh, Representative of KOICA, Woong-Ki Kim, President of SAE-A and representatives of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

The Minister of Education has welcomed this initiative, which will go according to him, "in the sense of the campaign promises of the Head of State."

Ambassador White congratulated the Head of State for his involvement in the education of Haitian youth and reaffirmed its confidence in the Government's efforts in the struggle to change Haiti.

For his part, the Head of State expressed satisfaction with the Korea / U.S. cooperation in the framework of the project "I have always said to all foreign contractors, that Caracol is a space conducive to investment. I believe very strongly and I encourage other investors to take my word."
