Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries, met this week with the 47 officers of the 2nd promotion of the Tourist Police (Politour) chosen chosen on competition among 200 applicants from the 24th promotion of National Police of Haiti (PNH), which will soon be graduate and will strengthen the ranks of the 52 officers of the Politour already deployed (First Promotion, September 27, 2013)

After 6 weeks of training, these specialized agents in the safety of tourists, historic sites and heritage, are motivated and ready to fulfill the new tasks assigned to them. During their training, these future recipients, under the direction of officials of the Ministry of Tourism and competent teachers, attended among others courses of : foreign language, tourism, security and hotel legislation... in order to accompanying tourists, protect and serve in accordance with the law, for a safe holiday and a safer destination.
