Haiti - Politic : IDB President visited FAES (UPDATE)

On Thursday, the General Directorate of Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) received the visit of Luis Alberto Moreno, President of the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB).

This visit was done in conjunction with the launch of "MapHaiti", a software developed through the combined efforts of the Prime Minister and the IDB with the support of FAES, which allow to keeps track of all the achievements and projects of FAES and sustainable investments, carried out with its partners throughout the national territory.

The visit of Mr. Moreno, also coincided with the launch of the 72 school infrastructure projects financed by the IDB, whose some in co-financing with other partners, such as Finland, Canada, Trinidad and Tobago and the Haiti Reconstruction Fund (HRF).

In addition, the President of the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB ), Mr. Luis Alberto Moreno, went Thursday in "Zoranje". A delegation from the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES), led by the Deputy Director General , Mr. Paul Moise Gabriel and various executives of the institution, such as : Phillipe Bastien, Coordinator of the cell of monitoring and infrastructure for the IDB, Morin Janvier, Member of theOffice of the Director General, Sony Antoine, Director of Social Projects, and Patrick Anglade, Engineer/Coordinator of Support for the Intervention Plan in the Housing Sector (SPISH).

This visit was conducted to see the different work in this area, including the construction site of the school "Zoranje" where work began there two weeks with the Spanish firm Abantia, and the village 400% that saw the construction of 409 houses for the people, project that was funded by the IDB. A symbolic gesture as a thank you, a wreath was given to President Moreno by a schoolgirl resident of the village, Mr. Moreno said he was satisfied with the progress of the work and achievements of the FAES.
