Haiti - Reconstruction : $70M on the agenda of the HRF Steering Committee

Wednesday, the Haiti Reconstruction Fund (HRF) will organize the 12th meeting of the Steering Committee, chaired by Marie-Carmelle Jean-Marie, Minister of Economy and Finance, in order to consider recent funding decisions and future of 5 projects.

List of 5 projects :

Budgetary Support under the supervision of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for a total of $21 million of HRF to two programs targeting respectively the sectors of "Water and Sanitation" for $14 million and "Transport" for $7 million. These two programs will receive additional co-financing from the IDB, for a total of $27 million, bringing the total of budgetary support to $48 million ;

Budgetary Support under the supervision of the World Bank, for targeted reforms in the area of ​​Water and Sanitation, for an amount of $17.6 million ;

School Feeding project with the World Bank as a partner entity of government for $15 million ;

Transmission power line Péligre of $16 million by the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB);

During the 12th meeting, the members of the Steering Committee will also discuss the future of the HRF, as well as projects to consider for the $40 million of funds still available.
