Haiti - Economy : The historic center of Jacmel, attractive for the private sector

Friday, economist Kesner Pharel accompanied by Ms. Dithny Joan Raton, Departmental Director Southeastof the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC) visited the investment projects of the Government and of private sector, in the historical center of Jacmel.

Kesner Pharel met with the principal owners, the need to increase the volume of investments and to encourage Public Private Partnership (PPP).

Some private sector projects as "Choubouloute club" of Jean-Hervé Landrin and "Village-Port-Jacmel" of Khawly were presented.

Several others ongoing project, will be ready before the end of this year such as "Colin's hotel" of Joseph Colin and "Café Terrace" of Christopher Lang (owner of the hotel Cyvadier).

"The important thing is to ensure that the conditions of authenticity of the historic center of Jacmel, are threatened by inappropriate interventions, which should be controlled by the implementation of regulations and specific guidance," stressed Kesner Pharel.
