Haiti - Politic : Petite Riviere de Nippes is now electrified

After 3 months, the electrification works of the city of Petite Riviere de Nippes, construction of medium and low voltage lines (MV/LV), whose the Office of Monetization of Development Assistance Program (BMPAD), was the prime contractor, are now completed.

This project, which cost ten million gourdes, from communal funds, according to local authorities represents an important step towards the development of the commune because it will promote the development of socio-economic and cultural activities of approximately 30,000 inhabitants.

Note that 45 electrification projects of communes were deposited (out of 150 projects) in the context of communal funds, which allocate 10 million gourdes to each of 144 communes. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10247-haiti-politic-assessment-of-communal-projects-2012-2013.html
