Haiti - Politic : Laurent Lamothe in working visit to Boston

The Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, at the head of a high-level delegation, composed among others of : Dr. Florence Duperval Guillaume, the Minister of Public Health, Nesmy Manigat, Minister of National Education and Charles Jean Jacques, Minister of Social Affairs, travels this Wednesday, June 4, in the United States, under a 48-hour visit to Boston.

The Head of Government will will take advantage of this visit to meet with officials of the Universities of Harvard and MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), two jewels of higher education in the United States, to explore new fields of cooperation, able to contribute to strengthening the Haitian education system.

He will also participate in a roundtable organized by Paul Farmer, famous professor of medical anthropology in the Department of Social Medicine at Harvard University, around health care and community pharmacies in Haiti.

In addition, he will meet with members of the Haitian community in Boston, to inquire about their situation and show them the accompaniment and solidarity of the Haitian State.

During his short stay, Prime Minister Lamothe will be the keynote speaker at a ceremony to raise funds for Haiti.
