As part of his campaign on the reduction of community violence "Ann Chwazi Lapè" (Choose Peace) the Minustah organizing a national campaign of activities on the occasion of the World Cup, from 12 June to 13 July 2014.

Throughout the month of the World Cup (June 12 to July 13, 2014), the Minustah, in partnership with the Television Nationale d'Haiti (TNH), organizes the live screening of matches of the World Cup, outdoors or in rooms.

In cooperation with UNPOL, the National Police of Haiti (PNH) and military contingents these screenings will be held in 20 communes of the 10 departments of the country including Cap-Haitien, Fort-Liberté, Gonaives, Hinche, Jacmel, Jeremie, Léogâne , Les Cayes and Port-au-Prince, Port-de-Paix.

During these public screening sessions in Port-au-Prince and the regions, special outreach activities will be conducted as well as distribution of balloons, T-shirts, raincoats, posters, calendars with the program of the World Cup.

The Haitian troupe Les Rescapés product on this occasion, from Brazil, a series of six weekly programs of 20 minutes each on non-violence and fair play, illustrated with comic skits that will be broadcast on local television and available on www.youtube.com/user/MinustahTV.
