Noon at the Police Academy of Frères, will take place a closing ceremony of a 3-days training workshop ttended by 22 officers of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), this training, both theoretical and practical, included several modules whose management and securing weapons stockpiles, as well as the destruction of obsolete weapons and ammunition.

The ceremony will begin with closing remarks, by representatives of the PNH and UN Civilian Police (UNPOL), of the theoretical part and be followed by the practical phase, consisting in dismantling weapons obsolete by cutting and destruction by fire of ammunition unsuitable for weapons of small caliber.

Remember that December 19, 2013, the United Nations Mission for Stabilization in Haiti (MINUSTAH) and the National Police of Haiti (PNH) carried-out a joint operation of controlled destruction by explosion, of 8.3 tons of obsolete munitions and explosives in the zone of Balan (Ganthier) east of Port-au-Prince. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10148-haiti-security-destruction-83-tons-of-obsolete-munitions.html
