After having met on 11 July the Mexican Chancellor José Antonio Meade https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11577-haiti-diplomacy-85-years-of-diplomatic-relations-between-mexico-and-haiti.html within the framework of the 85th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mexico and Haiti, Ambassador of Haiti to Mexico, Guy Lamothe, had a working meeting last Thursday with Vanessa Marquez Rubio, the Under Secretary for Latin America and the Caribbean.

At this meeting, the Under Secretary Rubio and Ambassador Lamothe, have reviewed the main points of the bilateral and regional agenda of the second meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission Mexico-Haiti, to be held shortly in Haiti. They also exchanged views on cultural activities organized on the occasion of the celebration of the 85th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which takes place this year.

In this context, Ambassador Guy Lamothe confirmed that, in the coming months, Duly Brutus, the Haitian Minister of Foreign Affairs, will visit Mexico.
