Haiti - Diplomacy : Words of sympathy for Taiwan

The Haitian Government has learned with dismay the accident that occurred Thursday, July 31, 2014 following a series of explosions caused by a gas leak in an underground pipeline, in Kaohsiung, the second largest city in Taiwan. Accident having left more than 60 victims and nearly 200 injured

"The Government of the Republic who is deeply saddened by this tragedy, presents its sympathies to the President of the Republic of China, Mr. Ma Ying-jeou and that brave people of Taiwan.

In addition, the Government of Haiti, salutes the active solidarity and contribution of Taiwan in the reconstruction effort of Haiti."
