Haiti - Health : First Promotion in emergency pre-hospital care

Thursday, after a six-month training in emergency pre-hospital care given by trainers from the Berlin Academy of the German NGO Johanniter (specialized in training of ambulance technicians and a leading provider of ambulance services in Germany) and of National Ambulance Centre (CAN), the 180 professionals of the health of this first class, received their diplomas in the presence of Dr. Florence Duperval Guillaume, Minister of health, Marcus Aust, Director of the academy of training for ambulance crews of Johanniter in Berlin, Oliver Jüngel, Charge d'Affairs and First Secretary of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Haiti, of Directors General of the Office of Workmen's Compensation Insurance, Sickness and Maternity (OFATMA) and the Ministry of Health, of Gerard Martelly, Director of CAN and several other important personalities.

These new recipients, which will integrate the CAN, are now able to practice: evaluating the patient, give the appropriate care, transport and transmit relevant information to specialized staff, who take care to ensure continuity of care.

Note that this training has been funded to the tune of 250,000 euros by the Foundation of Deutsche Bank.
