Haiti - Politic : Inspection visit of Prime Minister to Cap-Haitien International Airport

Monday, the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, accompanied by engineer Philippe Cinéas, State Secretary for Public Works, Alix Celestin, Director General of the National Port Authority (APN), and Réginald Vorbe, Vice President of the construction company "Vorbe et Fils" conducted an inspection visit of the work of the new terminal installed on an interim basis, as well as facilities to house the firefighters of Cap Haitien in response to international requirements and the willingness of the Martelly administration to give the country the necessary infrastructure able to allow the Haitian nation to borrow the ways of sustainable development.

The new terminal, realized by the firm "FP Construction", which will allow to offer a better reception to visitors, is funded by the Treasury to the tune of 450,000 USD. Work will be completed in February, 2015.

The fire station, under construction, will be equipped with three fire trucks, dormitories for thirty agents (20 men and 10 women), as well as exercise rooms and play areas, designed to offer a pleasant and modern working environment to firefighters.
