Haiti - Football : Edson Araujo new coach of the Grenadiers 17/09/2010 07:30:23 Edson Tavares, 54, was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A polyglot, he speaks six languages: French, English, Spanish and Portuguese, Chinese and Arabic he had a playing career in Brazil with Vasco da Gama before being transferred to Switzerland, where he lived for 10 years. Also in Switzerland he obtained his degree in Physical Education and coach football license. Thereafter, it carried out a career of Trainer which led it in turn in Switzerland, in Asia (China, Vietnam, Oman, Kuwait, Iran, Iraq, etc…) with an interlude in charge of the national team of Chile as assistant and chief technical officer. The Man arrived full of enthusiasm and ambition considering that the level of our national teams of CONCACAF zone is fairly balanced behind the USA and Mexico, almost untouchable, and it is easier to qualify for a national competition in the area. But the coach does not want to raise expectations and neither wind of madness: "the expectations are always followed by frustration. This is not because I am a coach of experience or because I am Brazilian and I suddenly change everything. Here (in haiti) when you arrive, the first impression is that it is a devastated country and deserves to be rebuilt immediately. I had an idea of Haitian players who play Outside, I have a good impression as through the girls I just discovered in Brazil. If the level of boys is not too far from the girls, we can do something. I expect better know the players I have at my disposal, but I can guarantee a professional and job, that will certainly give good results but should primarily think in the long run, I like working with time".
