Haiti - NOTICE : Applications for visas, change to the American Embassy

As of October 11, 2014, the U.S. Embassy in Port-au-Prince, Haiti will transition to a new online system which changes the way applicants schedule appointments, pay fees, and receive documents.

This new process has been implemented at U.S. Embassies worldwide, and is designed to be more convenient and user-friendly.

Note that the decision criteria for issuing immigrant and non-immigrant visas will not change, as well as the cost of a non-immigrant visa will not change.

Starting October 11, 2014, applicants should visit www.ustraveldocs.com to schedule their interviews at the Embassy of the United Stat, get information about the documents they will need, and obtain payment instructions.

Notable Improvements under the new system :

  • Increased number of locations where you can pay your visa application fee

  • Free passport and document delivery services

  • Easier ability to re-schedule an appointment or schedule group appointments

  • Expanded call center service will now respond to both immigrant and non-immigrant visa inquiries, and will be free of charge.
