Monday, October 6, 2014 at the Place Boyer, Petion Ville, the Unit for Housing Construction and Public Buildings (UCLBP) in partnership with UN-Habitat and thirteen other state and non-state institutions will celebrate World Habitat Day, which will be held under the theme "Voices of neighborhoods: improving living conditions".

From 10:00 a.m. will take place the official launching ceremony of the celebration. Various activities are planned including an exhibition on interventions in several informal neighborhoods, screening of documentaries, cultural events with residents of the neighborhoods involved and a roundtable with state actors, non-state and different habitat specialists.

The UCLBP and its partners wish on this day, draw the attention of stakeholders and society in general, on the issue of informal neighborhoods and the various initiatives aimed at improving the living conditions of their inhabitants.
