Haiti - Justice : The Duvalier death does not end the legal proceedings...

"The death of Jean Claude Duvalier does not end the proceedings undertaken before the courts,

victims of the Duvalier regime having also filed a complaint against close collaborators of the former dictator," declared Pierre Esperance, executive director of "The National Network for the Defense of Human Rights" RNDDH and General Secretary of the "International Federation of Human Rights Leagues"(FIDH).

Same attitude among the internationalist jurist, Gédéon Jean, Executive Director of the "Centre for Analysis and Research in Human Rights (ACHR), which also drew to the attention of the national and international opinion that "death does not prevent the continuation of legal proceedings against the responsible of his regime who have committed serious violations of human rights as well as economic and financial crimes for about two decades [...]"
