Counselor of the United States Department of State, will be in Haiti this October 30, 2014 to underscore U.S. support for timely elections, promote political dialogue, and highlight progress made in reconstruction and development.

Counselor Shannon will meet with Haitian Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, Cardinal Chibly Langlois, members of Parliament and Haitian political parties, and Special Representative to the UN Secretary General in Haiti Sandra Honoré.

He will be accompanied by Ambassador Pamela White and Haiti Special Coordinator Thomas C. Adams.
