Haiti - Politic : Goodbye Berlin, Hello Paris

Thursday, as part of his official visit to Germany, President Michel Martelly, met with members of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, to explore with them the promising sectors in Haiti in which German entrepreneurs could invest.

Accompanied by members of the Haitian private business sector, of Wilson Laleau, the Minister of Trade and Industry and Duly Brutus, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Head of State exposed to the German investors the promising framework for business in Haiti "Like other investors in the world, my country offers a unique opportunity to grow your capital, while accompanying my Administration's policy of job creation."

In his speech, Gregory Brandt, President of the Franco-Haitian Chamber, encouraged the German business class to follow the example of some European countries that have already adopted successfully Haiti as a land of great business opportunities.

After this very promising meeting, the President Martelly was received at the town hall of Hamburg by the first Mayor Olaf Scholz. President Martelly who signed the guestbook of the city, then went with the Haitian delegation to the port of Hamburg, where, during a tour with Frank Horch, the German Minister of Economics, Transport and Innovation, was able to appreciate the progress made by the Germans in this sector.

Back in Berlin, obviously very pleased with his official visit to Germany, the Head of State visited the Haitian Embassy before taking early evening, the direction of Paris where he will meet at the Elysee Palace his french counterpart Francois Hollande Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 (french time).
