Haiti - Sports : Veracruz 2014, without a medal...

Tuesday, at XXII Central American and Caribbean Games, which take place in Veracruz, Mexico, our Haitian athletes participated in the competitions: decathlon (men) and 400m (men).

Decathlon Athletics (cat. Man) :

Monday during the first, after having ranked 6th out of 10 with 3,752 points to 581 points behind the leader https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-12585-haiti-sports-xxii-central-american-games-not-easy-for-our-athletes.html , this Tuesday participated in the second part of competitions taking place at the "Stadium Heriberto Jara Corona"

110 meters hurdles :

Josué Louis finished first with a time of 14.69 (887 points)

Discus throw :

To the Discus throw he ranked 7th out of 8 (540 points) with 33.79 meters on his first attempt and then missed the next two. The best throw was carried out by the Venezuelan Oscar Campos with 41.02 meters.

Pole vault :

Josué Louis finished the completion without being able to cross the bar (0 points), the best jump was made by the Mexican Rodrigo Armando Sagaon with 4.20 meters.

Javelin :

In the Javelin Throw, he ranked 8th out of 9 with a distance of 46.35 meters (535 points) to his second trial having missed the 1st and 3rd.

1500m :

During the 1500m race Josué Louis arrived 9th and last with a time of 5:32.48 minutes (387 points), the fastest was the Mexican Rodrigo Armando Sagaon with a time of 4:40.06 minutes.

At the end of the second day of Decathlon Josué Louis finished 8th out of 9 with 5714 points or 1530 points behind the leader.

The three medalists of the Decathlon, are the Cuban Yordanis Garcia (gold), the Cuban José Angel Medieta (silver) and the Mexican Roman Garibay (bronze).

400 meters :

Alie Beauvais has for his part participated in the 400 meters semi-final 2/3, unfortunately he abandoned. The best time was achieved by the Cuban Raidel Acea with 45.89 seconds followed by the Dominican Juander Santos 46.45 seconds both qualified for the final.
