Commissioner Frantz Lerebours, spokesman for the National Police of Haiti (PNH), announced that the security device put in place by the institution ahead of the year-end period, allowed: to make 112 arrests, confiscated three firearms (two 9 mm caliber and one Uzi), 67 motorcycles and 13 kilos of marijuana seized at the street Saint-Honoré.

Frantz Lerebours announced as part of the security plan for the year-end holidays, that a deployment of 2,000 police officers is planned in the metropolitan area, adding that in this plan the metropolitan area is divided into 24 sectors and 31 roundabouts are spread over the entire area.

Commissioner Frantz Lerebours wanted to reassure the public that the police will ensure that the provisions of the plan are scrupulously respected in order to protect the population at a time when the bandits are still very active.
