Tuesday at the Primature, the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, participated in the certificate ceremony for the leaders of the Tzu Chi Foundation for their important contribution post earthquake in Haiti.

In his speech, the Head of Government declared : "Today we are here to crown and certainly celebrate a long-standing relationship we have with the Republic of China-Taiwan, but also for saying thank you to them for all they do for Haiti continuously and also it is a pleasure for me to welcome this morning, high-level leaders of the Buddhist compassion relief tzu chi foundation who has never ceased to provide assistance and support to the most disadvantaged Haitians.

These are here of concrete acts that have been made by this foundation, an assistance that has grown after the earthquake of 12 January 2010, relief was brought, schools have been rebuilt, food aid was given to the population, more than 5,000 people after the floods of November 2014 in the North have received help from a rescue mission.

[...] That's why we wanted to recognize today this foundation for its non-negligible contribution to the resolution of several post-earthquake problems in education, in health, in the fight against hunger and poverty extreme and it deserves to be warmly congratulated.

[...] We are particularly pleased with the services provided for the benefit of the population who expressed his gratitude to the Foundation through my body, the Government of the Republic of Haiti expresses the parfonde recognition of the Haitian people to the buddhist compassion relief tzu chi foundation to whom I extend my warm and sincere thanks for the work done. On behalf of the weakest, on behalf of the most disadvantaged I thank you and I would also like to once again thank the Ambassador of Taiwan in Haiti for all the aid, accompaniment, support, that Haiti receives of the Republic of Taiwan.
