Haiti - Economy : First international consequence of demonstrations

After full deliberation and consideration of the current political situation and the uncertainty surrounding January 12, 2015, Haitian Renewal Alliance (HRA) has decided to postpone the Haiti Edition of their Business Investment Expo & Conference scheduled for January 15 & 16, 2015 at the Karibe Convention Center. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-12053-haiti-economy-hra-business-expo-once-again-in-haiti.html

No new dates have been set yet.

"It is unfortunate that the current situation pose a threat to the economic development trajectory that the country has been on for the past 3 years. I hope the parties come together and find a common solution to the crisis and HRA can continue its mission promoting business development and investment in Haiti," informed us Firmin Backer, President of HRA.

The Caribbean Edition of the HRA Expo will take place as scheduled on June 18 & 19, 2015 in Washington, DC.
