Friday at the Pepsi Coliseum in Québec, the World Champion of the World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight, Quebecer Stivenson Adonis, of Haitian origin, [born in Port-au-Prince September 22, 1977], aka "Superman", defended his title against the Russian Dmitry Sukhotsky.

After 4 rounds monotonous where Adonis was content with the bare minimum, forcing the Russian on the defensive, at the 5th round after sending two time Dmitry Sukhotsky on the mat, Adonis finally knocked (KO) him with a powerful left and kept with this victory his world title he had won in June 2013 at the fight with American Chad Dawson. "It's a beautiful knockout, I am satisfied," said Adonis on the air of US network Showtime "I'm the best because I beat the best. My job is to put KO each of my rivals !"

This is his 25th win of his career, the 21th before the deadline, for a single defeat in April 2010.

Before, to face Sergey Kovalev or Jean Pascal, "Superman" will face another opponent in April, 2015.
