Haiti - Security : A entrepreneur shot dead and robbed in Port-au-Prince

Friday evening, Victor Audebert Falla (63), an entrepreneur from Marie Galante (Guadeloupe) who often came to Haiti for professional reasons, after landing at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport, was shot dead and robbed some kilometers away.

The attack occurred around 9:30 p.m. while Mr. Falla was driving his vehicle. Individuals on a motorcycle shot him several time, the businessman died on the spot. Individuals have stole a sum of 5,000 euros that was carrying the entrepreneur before fleeing.

An investigation was opened in Haiti and Pointe-à-Pitre by the Research Division of the gendarmerie. A Haitian police officer is in charge of liaison with the Embassy of France in Haiti.

According to preliminary information, investigators believe that the entrepreneur was awaited at the airport by his murderers.
