Monday, Nesmy Manigat, the Minister of National Education announced the closure of classes of the first school Phase (2014-2015) and the beginning of the Christmas holidays for more than one million students, from Tuesday December 23, 2014.

The Minister Manigat, took the opportunity to greet the entire educational community for their support to the increase in school attendance, including teachers and parents of students as well as for the respect of the school calendar, which despite the difficult socio-economic conditions, has allowed to realize as expected 355 hours of instruction for the fundamental and 416 hours for secondary.

While wishing to all happy end of year holidays, the Minister recalled that the date for the back to school was set for 5 January 2015.
