Haiti - FLASH : Call for vigilance to parents

In a note Jean Renel Sanon, the Minister of Justice and Public Security (MJSP) "hastens to inform the public in general and parents in particular that individuals politically motivated, plan to disrupt public order Tuesday, January 13, 2015 by attacking schools under the guise of a so called trade union struggle.

According to information gathered by the Ministry these so-called unionists would intend to use force to close the school doors and push students to gain the streets.

The MJSP gives the guarantee that all measures are taken to ensure the safety of lives and protect schools across the country. The Ministry recommends that parents exercise the utmost vigilance and relies on their collaboration to prevent their children from being used for political ends."
