Following the strike of teachers in some public schools, children have lost more than 20 school days in January. As indicated Nesmy Manigat, the Minister of Education, in an open letter to parents https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13091-haiti-education-let-s-save-the-school-year-dixit-nesmy-manigat.html , following the agreement found on Friday 30 January with several teachers' unions for the resumption of school activities as of Monday, February 2 "We will have to put in place a program of 'tutoring or remedial'," for these students victims of the claims.

To this end, the Minister Manigat, announces that he will hold without wasting time, remedial classes for all students involved.

The Minister appealed to young people graduating students and recent graduates, previously trained, of the State University and private universities to come and provide assistance in a patriotic fervor.

In addition, the Ministry of Education intends to use technology and the Internet, to make available the remedial courses on the Ministry's website and social networks and also on DVD and CD.

The Minister Manigat, looked forward to the full cooperation of teachers, parents, school directors to save this school year, to not continue to lose more school days.

The Ministry asks all to stand together to protect the interests of children.
