On Wednesday, the French government updated its safety tips for travelers coming in Haiti and issued a last minute notice concerning strikes, protests and armed attacks when leaving the Toussaint Louverture International Airport.

Strikes and demonstrations repeatedly resulting in risks of violent incidents and especially roadblocks that impede the displacement. It is recommended to stay away from crowds.

Aggression armed out of Port-au-Prince airport :

Faced with the upsurge of armed attacks, sometimes fatal, between the airport and their place of accommodation, mainly aiming travelers coming to visit their families, it is recalled that it is imperative to organize its reception by relatives or people you trust, to minimize the transportation of cash or valuables and especially not offering any resistance in case of aggression.

These attacks can target the particular vehicle taken at the exit of the airport on the day of arrival as the next day following the tracking operated by gangs".
