The actors involved in the organization of the forthcoming elections, had to submit to the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) comments and suggestions on the Draft Electoral Decree Wednesday, February 11 before 4h00 pm. Not having met the deadline, Pierre-Louis Opont, President of the CEP informed in a note addressed mainly to political parties, groupings of of political parties, national and international partners "in order to get a broader consultation on the draft Electoral Decree, the deadline for political parties in order to submit their comments, is extended to Wednesday, February 18, 2015 inclusive."

Recall that the actors concerned had received Friday, February 6, by email, the draft Electoral Decree https://www.haitilibre.com/article-13152-haiti-elections-l-avant-projet-de-decret-electoral-soumis-aux-partis-politiques.html . However, it seems that the time allowed to the examination of this impressive document of 66 pages, composed of 242 articles, was obviously insufficient. The Decree law had to be delivered initially to the Executive Friday, February 13, in order to publication in the official newspaper "Le Moniteur".
