Haiti - Reconstruction : Multiple inauguration in Léogâne

On Thursday, President Michel Martelly, went to the town of Léogâne, where he proceeded to the inauguration of the Marie Claire Heureuse municipal library, the National School Bossan and Place Sainte Rose.

Accompanied by Ms. Emmelie Prophète Milcé, the Director of the National Library, Ms. Dithny Johanne Rathon, Minister of Culture, Ariel Henry, Minister of the Interior, Fresner Dorcin, Minister of Agriculture and the German Ambassador, Klaus Peter Shick, the Head of State welcomed the new library, result of the cooperation between Haiti and the Federal Republic of Germany. He believes that the inauguration of this library of 260 m2 built in strict compliance, which includes among others a computer room with internet access and an auditorium that can accommodate 162 people "opens the way to knowledge and understanding to all citizens.

The President Martelly, then went to Bossan to inaugurate a completely renovated National School, as part of the German cooperation.

Thereafter, the Head of State proceeded to the inauguration of the Place St. Rose of Léogâne. Dominated by a kiosk and a monument representing the Queen Anacaona, this modern space includes a children's play area, a basketball court and a sports club.

The Head of State praised the dedication of the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES), the World Bank and the German government, which contributed to the realization of these infrastructure projects and of development.

Last minute :

The President Martelly, accompanied by Wilson Laleau Minister of Finance, Pierre Richard Casimir, Minister of Justice, and the Director of Monetization Office of Development Assistance Programs (BMPAD), Eustache Saint-Lot, left the country Thursday to Venezuela where he will participate this Friday at a Summit of Heads of State and Government on Petrocaribe program. The Head of State will return home Friday afternoon.
