Haiti - Politic : Words of sympathy for the victims of the sinking

President Michel Martelly "expresses his deep sorrow" at the death of 21 compatriots in a shipwreck occurred on the night of Wednesday to Thursday to the north of Haiti https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13574-haiti-flash-21-boat-people-perish-off-the-haitian-coast.html and "On behalf of the entire Government, the Head of State expressed his sincere sympathies to the families and friends of the victims of this tragedy.

The President Martelly regrets that some compatriots continue to risk their lives on the high seas to reach foreign territories and says he is determined to continue its ongoing struggle to provide better living conditions for the Haitian people."

For his part, Prime Minister Evans Paul "bows reverently to the memory of the 21 victims of the sinking [...] In this painful and distressing circumstances the Head of Government expresses his deep sympathy and solidarity to the damilies of the victims of the sinking.

The Government recommends to our compatriots to stop venturing on improvised boats and condemns those who engage in the organization of these illegal clandestine trips."
