In the perspective of allow all son of the country to have access to education, at the initiative of Government of Haiti, the construction work of the National School of Plaisance in the Nord department, are continuing.

Funded by the Inter-American Development Bank and the Government of Haiti, the school is part of the group of schools of the Support Programme for the Reconstruction of Education Sector (ARSE 19), this program aims to support the government's program defined in the Operational Plan for Education 2011-2015. which intends to restructure the education sector to develop a skilled labor pool over the next decade.

Recall that this school is part of the 19 construction sites of ARSE project, who had been stopped there over a year, following a technical evaluation, which revealed non-compliance with the structures with standards, causing significant delays.
