Haiti - Dominican Republic : A Haitian kills his ex-partner and her two little girls

Wednesday, the body of a woman and her two little girls aged 7 to 10 years, all Haitian nationals were found dead, with fatal injuries caused by a machete in a house near el Manguito (Maizal, Valverde, Dominican Republic).

The woman was identified by the Dominican police as Mimosa Jean, aged 30. The names of the two girls was not disclosed. The perpetrator was identified as Aró Pierre aka "Blanco" a Haitian who fled after the killing.

According to witnesses, the man would have mistreated this family. According to authorities, the women and the two little girls slept in the house, when they were murdered by Aró Pierre. The Dominican Police said the victims had stab wounds in the neck and other parts of their body. Police said to be looking for Aró Pierre to hand it to justice.

So far, the motive for the triple murder, which shocked residents and the surrounding communities of Maizal, remains unknown, indicated the investigators.

The women and her two daughters were buried in the cemetery of Esperanza on Thursday morning.
