Although 11,709 candidates are already registered for the municipal and local elections https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-14023-haiti-news-electoral-zapping.html , the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) to the persistent demand from political parties and groups, has decided to grant a further extension of deadline to complete the pre-registration online and filing the documents for teh candidacies to municipal and local elections scheduled for October 2015.

In its Circular #33, the CEP states :

"1. The deadline for carrying out the pre-registration online for municipal and local elections is, once again, extended to Thursday, June 4;

2. The filing of documents will continue at all BEC of the country until Sunday, June 7, 2015, at midnight."

Recall that according to the electoral timetable, the original deadline of these inscriptions was scheduled for May 24 2015, a deadline that was extended a first time on until May 30, 2015 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13873-haiti-news-electoral-zapping.html
