Tuesday evening the judges of the Departmental Electoral Office of Litigation (BCED) delivered their long-awaited verdict on 23 candidates contested. In particular, they require the rejection of 3 candidacies including that of Laurent Lamothe. Following this publication Néhémy Joseph, has launched an appeal for calm to the population and to the police force to maintain peace.

Candidates or challengers have a period of 72 hours from the publication of the decision of the electoral judges, to file their appeal before the National Office of Electoral Litigation (BCEN), whose decision is final.
