Monday, President Michel Martelly left the country, to Belgium to attend the Second Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States and the European Union (CELAC-EU), to be held on 10 and 11 June 2015.

These high-level meetings that aim the strengthening of relations between the two regions, will be held under the theme "Shaping our common future: working for a prosperous cohesive and sustainable societies for our citizens".

This meeting will, moreover, an opportunity to highlight the identity and shared values of Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.

This will also be an opportunity for the President Martelly, to meet on the sidelines of the Summit, several Head of State.

Let's hope that the President Martelly also meets Dominican President Danilo Medina, while there are only 8 days before the closing of the National Plan for Regularization of Foreigners living illegally in the Dominican territory.
