Haiti - Culture : Inauguration of Gardens of the MUPANAH

Thursday evening took place the official opening of the Gardens of the Museum of Haitian National Pantheon (MUPANAH) in the presence of senior State officials, representatives of the diplomatic and consular corps, Directors General of the institutions of the Ministry of Culture and representatives of the various museums and cultural institutions of Haiti.

Built over an area of 10,000 m2, this landscaped area, constitute the first phase of museum expansion project. This arrangement includes a play area for children, benches, multipurpose room, the museum shop, a restaurant, an amphitheater, an infirmary, bathrooms and a service for schoolchildren vehicle.

"The Gardens of the MUPANAH arethe testimony of a city that is changing," declared Emelie Prophète, the Director General of the National Library.

An evening that was an opportunity for Michèle G. Frisch, the Director General of MUPANAH, to reveal her vision to raise the Museum at the height of the Founders of the Haitian Nation.

Now, this institution can accommodate in a friendly and secure environment, students of different social groups in the country by allowing them to deepen their knowledge about the history through appropriate educational activities.
