The CEP pays its salary arrears...

Tuesday, Marie Carmelle Paul-Austin, Adviser to the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) informed that the CEP has honored its debts to all its regular and contract employees. According to her, members of the Departmental Electoral Offices, started receiving their checks while the members of the Communal Electoral Offices will begin to receives their arrears shortly.

Stop the wild graffiti

Germain Alexandre-Fils launches his campaign in Petit-Goâve

Saturday, July 18, the candidate for deputy of Petit-Goâve Germain Alexandre-Fils, under the banner "Vérité" proceeded front a huge crowd at the official launch of his campaign in the company of two Senate candidates of party "Vérité" Didier Fils-Aimé and Antonio Cheramy aka "don kato", came to support him.

Germain Alexandre Fils, visibly pleased and happy of the massive support of the population preached non-violence and tolerance. He made a solemn commitment to never to betray the people of Petit-Goâve and he asked Don Kato and Didier Fils Aimé to do it also. He encouraged his many supporters, activists and sympathizers to maintain the mobilization until August 9, date of the first round of legislative elections.

The vote of the Protestant sector, significant in Haiti

Pastor Sylvain Exantus, President of the Protestant Federation of Haiti calls on candidates in the forthcoming elections not to encourage their supporters to use violence. He also asked the friends of Haiti to continue their support, so that the elections are held as scheduled.
