Haiti - Security : Latest figure of the accident of Bonay Dugal and words of sympathy

Following the terrible traffic accident that occurred Saturday morning around 5:00 to Bonay Dugal (Quartier Morin, North), while an overloaded truck, from Saint-Raphael, who was carrying passengers, boards, charcoal and other goods, overturned while trying to avoid collision with a motorbike taxi, the Civil Protection Department submitted its latest report, which now stands at 18 dead (including 15 women) and 28 wounded. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-14849-haiti-flash-road-drama-17-dead-18-injured.html

13 injured in serious condition, were taken to the Justinian Hospital in Cap-Haitien and other to the hospital in Quartier Morin and Sacred Heart Hospital (HSC) in Milot.

In an official note, the President Michel Martelly expressed dismay face this road accident "[...] On behalf of the entire Government transmits its heartfelt condolences to the families and relatives of the victims of this tragedy that saddens the people of this region.

The President will request the opening of an investigation to determine the circumstances of this terrible accident, and invites road users to exercise more caution and to respect the principles of traffic, to reduce cases of accident."

For their part, the Young President of the Government Youth of Haiti, Amos Cincir and the Young Prime Minister Nathanaël Noël, as well as members of the Young Cabinet of Ministers, deeply saddened by this tragedy "[...] present their sympathies to all the friends, parents and relatives of the victims affected by this accident."
