Haiti - Japan : The Hospital of the Sanatorium in Leogane will have water

The Embassy of Japan in Haiti signed last Thursday the contract of the "Project of Drilling of well and water supply of the Hospital of the Sanatorium of Sigueneau" in Leogane. The ceremony was held at the premises of the Embassy of Japan in the presence of Mr. the "charge d'affaires" of the Embassy of Japan in Haiti, Kentaro Minami; Ms. Administrator of the Hospital of the Sanatorium of Sigueneau, Sr. Eveline Moliney; Sr. Akiko Sudd, Sanatorium consultant at Sigueneau; Mr. the Medical Director of the Sanatorium of Sigueneau, Mozart Belizaire (MSPP representative) and Mr. Deputy Head of the Japanese contingent, Yoshihito Hatakeyama ;

This financing, of an amount 99.545 dollars, intended for the execution of the project of Drilling of well and water supply of the Hospital of the Sanatorium of Sigueneau, enters within the framework of the supplementary programme in the form of Gifts to the Local Micro-Projects contributing to the Human Safety (APL) of the Japanese government.

Within the framework of the water supply of the Sanatorium this financing will allow:

  • the drilling of a well of 60 meters;

  • the rise in a water tank;

  • the acquisition of a generator and a pump submarine which will ensure the water supply has all the buildings of the campus;

  • the construction of two fountains located on both sides on the campus of the Sanatorium.
