Haiti - Security : A substitute Government Commissioner kills a citizen

Saturday evening on the sidelines of a show in downtown Ennery, Me Lener Pérard, substitute Government Commissioner near the Civil Court of Gonaives killed shot down, Assondieu Inadieu (38), a resident of the town, father of 7 children.

According to witnesses, the two had a lively political discussion concerning elections.

According to Me Osny Paul Antoine, the acting Government Commissioner near the Civil Court of Gonaives, based on the minutes of Peace judge, explained that the victim, armed with a machete would have attacked Me Lener Pérard, which would have shot him in the head in defense.

Monday, Me Pérard who has been provisionally suspended from duty, was to be heard to the prosecution but did not show up. "The case will be forwarded to the Ministry of Justice for appropriate action," said Me Osny Paul Antoine tating "When the magistrate is in function, it is the supervisory ministry to directly seize the investigating cabinet."

Let's stress that Assondieu Inadieu, according to our sources, was the subject of a warrant for disturbing public order, issued before the elections by Me Lener Pérard.
