On Friday, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Haiti (CHIC) and the Dominican Federation of Chambers of Commerce (FEDOCAMARAS) two umbrella institutions that bring together the unicameral system in each country, signed a bilateral cooperation agreement pledging them to strengthen the ties between the private sectors of both nations.

This agreement aims to contribute generally to the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries and in particular the exchange of information and joint participation in activities that promote economic growth of both countries.

Similarly this agreement will serve as a mechanism for the analysis of problems in trade and propose joint solutions to the authorities of both countries to resolve them.

This strengthening of binational institutional relationships made possible by the support of the Caribbean Export Development Agency in connection with the financing of the European Union under the 10th European Development Fund (EDF), with the support of the General Directorate of Cooperation multilateral (DIGECOOM).
