Friday, as part of leg match of the 3rd stage of qualifying for the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018, the Grenadiers (senior men's team) defeated at Grenada National Stadium in Saint-Georges, the national team of Granada [3-1].

The surprise of this match came from the presence of Wilde-Donald Guerrier on the lawn, while the Haitian Football Federation had announced him injured and unavailable. Wilde-Donald Guerrier played the 90 minutes of the match and delivered 2decisive passes the first allowed Jean Eudes Maurice to place on the 27th minute, the first goal [1-0] for Haiti.

Quickly, A. Straker will find equality on penalty in the 34th minute [1-1]. Equality of short time, Meschak Jérôme on a free kick in the 38th minute gives the advantage to the Grenadiers [2-1]

Score at half-time: [2-1] to the advantage of our national team.

In the second period the attacker Duckens Nazon registered in the 56th minute a third goal for Haiti [3-1] which will remain unchanged until the end of the match.

The 3 goals of the Grenadiers have allowed Haiti to be very close to qualifying for the 4th stage of the qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018. The Grenadiers will return to Haiti this weekend, next Tuesday before facing Grenada, during a leg match, at National Sylvio Cator stadium on Tuesday to complete the 3rd phase of qualifying.

With a victory in Port-au-Prince, Haiti will qualify for the next round of qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018. However, our Grenadiers should not underestimate their opponents by relying on their victory in the first leg .
